Client
In 2014, McNab was one of the few builders in Australia to have delivered a commercial-scale solar farm, positioning us at the forefront of the design and construction of renewable energy projects.
This 3.275MW pilot plant is the largest solar PV research facility in the Southern Hemisphere and the facility contains a mix of fixed panels, single axis trackers and dual axis trackers.
Our scope of works included, all civil works, piling, site layout and roads, logistics, unit assembly, fixed and dual access tracker installation (37,000 panels), dual access footings, all electrical cabling, trenching, inverter transformer connection including HV, and SCADA.
As part of the construction, in depth photographic quality records were required to be maintained and presented to the client upon project completion.
