SC1 Archerfield, Industrial Precinct
Project Summary
The SC1 Archerfield Industrial Precinct, provides two large format (with intertenancy walls) warehouses totalling 29,940m2 of gross floor area supported by two, double storey offices.
Logistics are managed over the 14,460m2 hardstand, recessed loading docks and 36 metre super awnings. This project is targeting a 5 Star Green Star rating through the use of translucent roof sheeting to reduce reliance on warehouse lighting, rainwater harvesting, solar power and use of low VOC elements throughout the build.
The site was a former flood plain and geotechnically presents with clay conditions, therefore during design we proposed an alternative building pad design to withstand the sub-terrain conditions, have used the recessed loading docks as the site bio basins during construction allowing McNab to treat the water before pumping into the council stormwater systems until the permanent bio basin is completed.
For this project the quality of the finish was extremely important, and we were able to deliver certainty on by using the same key trades from a recently completed Frasers development which has achieved program efficiencies and quality finishes.
