MADAD Warehouse
Project Summary
We were delighted to have delivered the third stage of our client's industrial complex at Wacol which included the design and construction of two new warehouses.
Warehouse One is an 11,804m2 facility designed originally as a standard speculative warehouse, with our customised burnished slab finish, it has since been tenanted by AIRR, Australian Independent Rural Retailers.
Warehouse Two was designed for the Sealy's mattress springs manufacturing facility, with a gross floor area of 7,183m2 a honed and polished concrete finish was achieved on the factory floor. Two large gantry cranes will service the factory which created the requirement to have all services trenched under the slabs.
A unique challenge we faced on this project is the site is below ground level, requiring all tilt panels to be waterproofed. Additionally, we installed a large 6 metre high, 260m long retaining wall on the site boundary due to the significant variance in site levels between neighbouring properties.
