LOGOS Cold Storage & Distribution Centre
Project Summary
Located at the Port of Brisbane, McNab designed and constructed this integrated cold storage and distribution facility for LOGOS Property, supporting a major meat processing and international export operation.
With more than 12,300sqm of refrigerated storage, the facility incorporates multiple freezer rooms capable of operating at temperatures as low as -20°C, alongside a 19-metre-high bay warehouse designed to accommodate an automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS). Eight loading docks support the movement of incoming and outgoing stock, with dedicated forklift charging, office and plant facilities completing the operation.
A key consideration in the construction was delivering a high-performance burnished concrete floor to support the facility’s automated operations. The smooth, precise finish provides the consistency required for ASRS machinery and robotic systems to operate efficiently, demonstrating the specialist construction requirements involved in delivering automated cold storage environments.
The project reflects McNab’s experience in delivering complex cold storage and distribution facilities, combining specialised construction requirements with the infrastructure needed to support high-volume, technology-enabled supply chains.
